Transforming organic waste into renewable energy
Powering anaerobic solutions in the UK
Our plants use the proven, safe and environmentally sustainable process of anaerobic digestion to convert organic waste into biogas, a nutrient-rich biofertiliser and water. Household and commercial food waste, food processing and agricultural sources are diverted from landfill and used to create green energy.
Compelling business. Sustainable solutions.
Our robust financial position underpins Tamar Energy’s ability to develop and operate over 40 anaerobic digestion plants around the UK by 2018. Our technical expertise, proven management processes and high calibre staff ensure each plant’s operational excellence. Our commercial arrangements offer compelling business solutions.
Tamar Energy is a renewable energy business. We aim to be the UK’s leading developer and operator of anaerobic digestion plants. By 2018, we will have a network of more than 40 plants around the UK, creating 100MW of renewable energy through the cost-effective, sustainable treatment of organic waste.
We strive for the best in class solutions in every aspect of our business; from proven technology and staff expertise to competitive feedstock agreements, and health and safety processes to local community liaison. Success for us is delivering an excellent return to our investors while making a positive contribution towards the UK’s waste management and renewable energy strategies - and to future generations.
